
The Artists of the Petit Boulevard were some of the most famous, in Paris, and was an important figure in the newly evolving avant-garde during the period 1886-88. They included Vincent van Gogh Gauguin, Signac, Emile Barnard, henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Louis Anquetin, Charles Angrand, and Georges Seurat.
Most of these people drank absinth, a well known drink containing wormwood. It was a green color and must have help inspire their work.
