Politics of the disturbed mind—disturbing

It gets frustrating waiting for something to give in politics. Whether we are waiting for a revolution to come about or swing back to the center OR left, in the election arena, things are looking bleak. These are trying times for any leftists whether left of center liberal or a hardline Marxist.
It goes beyond just listening to a bunch of blow hards insult us. They cut needed government jobs. They cut needed government provisions that we need. I work in education and we are constantly loosing programs, getting larger hard to manage classes and using equipment that is broken. I have a much harder time advancing in my career and in fact I’m going nowhere fast.
Sleazy slim bags run our government. They are despicable people who have no redeeming values. We have bullet heads who want to use our taxes for fighting unnecessary wars.
Maybe worst of all are all the people who want to stop us from smoking pot because of their warped sense of justice. Things stink—no doubt about it.
Eventually SOMETHING has to change. But for now I am disillusioned and just plain depressed over the state of our government and affairs.

From Daily Kos:

…Bringing attention to insane state representatives always presents a conundrum. On one hand, there are so many of them that it can seem like spitting into the wind. On the other hand, what they do has actual effect on millions of people, heaven help us, and there's also the Glenn Grothman Principle, which is that no matter how batshit insane any individual state legislator might be, there's still a damn good chance that they are going to at some point run for higher office, and win, and become the next Louie Gohmert….
